Knocking noise coming from footwell

    Hi ive got a knocking noise comeing from the drive side footwell on my 00 seat cordoba it sounds like thee is a rock hiting the under side of the footwell i can fell the knock but the car drive's fine the knocking is not there all the time.

    Any one got any ideas ?

    yes, sounds like a fuel line rattle?

    worn bushing on wishbone? Could be anytihng really. Get under neath the car and have a look for yourself or get it on a ramp!

    Presuming you've done the obvious thing and looked under the car to see if there is anything visably loose, it could be a drop link or something like that. Pretty difficlut to guess without hearing it tbh.


    When does it happen, speed? road surface? Driving conditions?

    As above, anti roll bar bushing or shock could be knackered....

    Ok for an update i got under the car and there is a bracket broken on the exaust but i dont think it is that as i only seem to get the knocking if i turn left sharply and then the knocking will be there driveing on till i sharrply turn right.

    Get car up on a lift and pull at everything you see.
    If something is loose, fasten/replace it :)

    It does sound like something to do with the linkage. Maybe leave it at a garage for a quote. If you find it too expensive to fix just give them something for diagnosing it and take it somewhere else.
