Old Sky Box - No Signal

First off sorry if this has been covered already but I've read pages and pages and cannot find any info.
Anyway, in spare room I had a silvercrest box and all the FTA channels work fine. Other Edimax box works fine in another room so dish and lnb are set up fine.
Anyway in the spare room my old sky box will not work. It did work for a few days (other channels) but then started giving the error message that no signal was detected..... Powered off and on and all the usual things but still nothing. Checked the silvercrest box and it works. So Sat, LNB and cable are fine.
So I presume it has to be the sky box. Is there something I need to reset ?
    Thanks for any help.

did you swap it with the silvercrest box?

Could be difference in tuner sensitivity. Check the signal level on the Slivercrest.

I've seen a dish setup that was marginal, the Silvercrest was able to display a picture, but the Sky box (a Panasonic) gave up because it thought it was too low.

If the signal is fine on the Slivercrest (above 70-80% on both intensity and quality), then maybe the tuner on the Sky box is failing.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I did switch the silvercrest box with the sky and it worked fine.
I think tmcw is on the button. I didn't get a chance to check the signal but I know it's not perfect as I installed the dish myself. I just used one of the cheap audio/lidl type sat finders. Far from precise.
I need to get someone to align the dish correctly.

On that note does anyone know a kind hearted person in Galway city that might be able to align the dish correctly ??
