I'm considering making some tutorials for photographers on photoshop cs5.
What I want to know is what do people want to see in a tutorial?

I'd like to get a grip of the basics of editing - accentuating colours (without blowing out other colours), collapsing layers, the best way to manipulate saturation etc.

I guess portrait and skin touch ups would be good. How to clean up a girls skin etc. Also including what the best kind of photo is to begin with. Like shod you overexposed a bit or use a flash to help "naturally" smash t imperfections. I've always wondered how to get that nivea look haha

I'd like to see something around working with colour curves to achieve different tones.

I know how to boost saturation etc, but I don't know how to make a subtle warm tone in an image (like you see in a lot of wedding photos), or a cool one etc.

I think what could be useful would be an easy to follow Quick Start guide to photoshop.

Photoshop can be intimidating and confusing as the functionality is huge and there is always more than one way to achieve something.

A Quick Start which covered the minimum processing most images need - e.g. contrast, colour boost and sharpening and crop would be good. And maybe consider supplying a psd file with this as well.

If you want to start off with an easy tutorial first, then having one showing how to correctly post images would be good. If it covered Flickr and Pix.ie it would help a lot.

CabanSail: that's got nothing to do with CS5 tutorials though...

    colour curves?!

    photo filter layer!!

I remember seeing someone posting lovely pics on here that had a real faded 1970's print look, they said they did it by increasing the blues and dropping the yellows or some such. It'd be nice to know how to do that sort of thing to achieve various tones, like warm, cool, retro etc.

Maybe I'm just thick but it's not that obvious to me!
