And the IGA runs a Dark Heresy larp.
Those running it can be found at

Aye, there's a fair sized larp (and related things) scene in Ireland. Feel free to drop me a line and I'll see about getting you in touch with whichever of these takes your fancy.

Just to give you some quick details on what the various ones are (if I forget any major ones, my apologies):

Midway is airsoft/Rubber sword mixed. It's supposed to be a lot of fun.

Camarilla games and the Dark Heresy Larp are non contact (more focused on character interactions - it uses abstracted card draws or Rock paper scissors to resolve anything that'd be physical - the Systems are called 'Mind's Eye Theatre' ).
Cam games based on 'World of Darkness' stuff are linked into other ones across the world, Dark Heresy is an indy Larp (so it's independent of any other games).

There's Rubber Sword Larpers up in st. Anne's Park at the weekends. They mainly are involved in big events in the UK though from what I understand (so mostly their weekend stuff isn't RP so much as having a laugh and training with how to use their weapons effectively/safely).

There's also some non Larp stuff that might appeal to you - the Society for Creative Anachronism has a branch in Artane that does training with real (blunt) weapons and historical styles.

Midway lrp is a lot of fun. Its got different elements. Combat folks get some action, political folks do their thing and there are many different characters with varied backgrounds. I would recommend it.

    hi

am based in the limerick area and am at present looking at trying to start up a new chapter of camarilla larp in limerick.

anyone experienced in gming and available please get in touch. players also required before a venue can be sorted, the more the better.

aswell as this if interest is high, will be looking at doing other larps as well as tabletop gaming and perhaps ccg

    many thanks

    chris
