    Hi,
I've been in my job for a year and a half. Lately I've been put on part time hours. The past week I've been told not to come in, that there is no work for me. I've just found out that the company is closing. I havn't been told this by my boss. Do I have any rights here seeing that I will not be given any notice?

No, you're being made redundant and you're not there long enough to get a pay off unfortunately. You should still be paid for your notice period though.

    Thanks for replying.
So I'm entitled to be paid a weeks pay in lieu of notice?
I also have some holidays outstanding, am I entitled to them?

NERA is a great source of information here, and to answer your specific question, yes, you are entitled to one weeks notice/pay in lieu.

You are also entitled to your holiday pay.
