    Just a puzzler,
Friend of a friend, was in a relationship with a douc**bag for 2 years, they had both cheated on each other at some stage, she broke it off.
2 months later he is dating some new girl, she is blowing hard about how it is rude and an inappropriate length of time.

is there an "appropriate" length of time?

or does this just mean that she's not over it yet?

Why do I feel like he's done nothing wrong (even though I'm loathe to say anything in his defence due to him being an A-hole)

I don't think there has to be a "politeness waiting time"- if you meet someone nice that's it. Sound to me like she is bitter. After all, she's the one who broke it off and by the sounds of it neither one of them had too much respect for the other to begin with?

to be blunt, its none of her business if he's seeing someone new.
I presume since she broke it off with this "douchebag" and there was cheating on both sides she's better without him. Its a kick in the pants when the other person moves on so quickly but as I said, its none of her concern.

He hasn't done anything wrong, they've split up for heaven's sake!

I dated a guy for two years, we broke up last year and 7 weeks later I was dating somebody else. He was upset, yeah, but he chose to end things, so honestly I didn't care all that much.

2 months is a pretty decent amount of time for him to have waited before seeing somebody else. She can't expect him to sit around for a year til she's moved on.

Myself and ex of three years broke up and two weeks later had both met other people. I did worry initially was it rebound for me (couldn't have given a toss what he was up to) but fact of matter was it was so completely over that there was nothing to hang around waiting for.

I broke up with a girl and within 48 hours I met someone else. A lot of people told me that I was just on a rebound but we have now been together for 18 years and are married 11.

If you meet somone that feels right then there should be no 'appropriate' time.

I kind of figured as much, she was under the impression that they were going to be friends after the breakup, and go to each others birthdays and stuff!! they have a few mutual friends, but I still figured once she broke up, she pretty much gave up any right to complain ....
