Im looking for a recommendations for a mens store in dublin city center that has a good selection of decent quality jeans. I had a look around grafton street but all the jeans there were multi coloured with holes where there shouldnt be holes.

    any help appreciated.

It sounds like you are just looking for jeans that don't necessarily follow the latest trends/styles etc (ie holes, skinny, coloured etc). Jack'n'Jones (outlets in Ilac Centre, Jervis Centre and Trinity Street) does a good selection of jeans that are still fashionable without being too trendy. Give TK Maxx a go as well - you can often get a nice pair of designer jeans for a knock down price.

when did buying jeans with holes in them become trendy? A windy wet day in Ireland is not the same as the surfer dude in LA.

thanks for the jack and jones tip. I'm just looking for the basic bootcut jeans that fit well.

Jack and jones along with marks and spencers did the trick thanks.

have to go hunting for a few decent jumpers now. Recommendations appreciated.

There's a FC on South William St, Dublin. I always find that they have a good balance between retro and modern and don't seem to go over the top with the sweaty teenager, ripped, jeans hanging round your backside look. You might get a few ideas from here before you go, http://www.frenchconnection.com/category/Man+Collections+Jeans/Mens+Jeans.htm:)

Hi AstonMartin. Mmmm nice cars Aston Martins.. A DB4 was on display at Crystal Palace racing last bank holiday weekend.

As for jeans... I've found that you pay for what you get.. If you wanna look good and feel good in jeans, you gotta spend around £50. There's a lot of choice here: http://www.frenchconnection.com/category/Man+Collections+Jeans/Mens+Jeans.htm

and if you go into a store knowing what type of jeans you want (flares, skinny etc) it saves you getting hassled by sales assistants. I usually go for Joe Browns or French Connection, but I have had my fingers burnt, (and my butt constrained!) by buying from JB on line... you really need to try on the jeans.

As for a store in Dublin, I was there recently (on business) but was too busy imbibing Guinness to visit the shops! Shame on me!

    Best of luck!

I get jeans for my OH in either Gap, Tommy Hilfiger or Timberland. No holes, rips or dodgy looking pockets. And they have all 3 brands in Arnotts and in their sale they usually knock 10 or 20% off.
The last pair I got were Timberlands and they cost €75 which isn't that much for decent jeans.

Since the universe was born. You clearly know nothing AND you don't need to be a surfer boy. You just need fashion beyond the CRAP in Jack Jones. Anyways... enjoy being generic.

To be honest I don't know anything about fashion. I dont want to know anything about fashion. If I die without learning anything about fashion I will happy.

I am a man in late 20s and the aim is to look clean, comfortable and reasonable well put together.

I'm not going to be looking for people to compliment me on my dress sense and as far as the holes go I dont want to be walking around looking like a teenager.

You can try so hard to be unique that you can easily end up looking like a fool.

Yes, I remember in my late twenties trying to break the mould by wearing green jeans. I was mightily mocked- quite rightly. You've got to be confident assertive and relatively good looking to start a new fashion trend. I looked... a fool!!

Green jeans? Try red jeans!! I wore them in the mid 90s. Funny, I wasn't mocked then but if the odd photo surfaces now of me in them, I get an awful slagging!!
