Online auctions in ireland?

    Hi i really like looking at all the auction shows on tv like bargain hunt or cash in the attic.I seen a show on rte called the dealers where they were at auctions in goresbridge and waterford the auction in waterford was cityauctionroom just wondering if there is any auctions in ireland on the internet where i could view antiques and buy some.

    Rather depends what you're looking for. There are a number of Art Auction Houses that offer online bidding as well as some of the other big salerooms such as Mealy's of Castlecomer http://www.mealys.com/ and Sheppard's of Durrow http://www.sheppards.ie/

    It wouldn't be any harm to view the objects before buying them .

    Your not going to see damage or repair from the auctioneers illustrations !

    Sometimes people request a written 'condition report' if they are spending a significant amount of money on an object !

    It could be a bit like buying at a car auction , you'd want to have a good idea that your not buying a nicely polished clapped out banger !

    Not wanting to put you off , it can be great fun learning and buying antiques at auction !
