    They are called hood pins.
    buKbL0ZVvqDlI94fUkDjDmaS0o6xLAJQQnC3J3dFu1y3FcUjS3TnA5Tx6k5wzAFSNSS0S16iHi3Hr7H-2kdyBh7UtT_WjpjFRRfP3zND531lHCgdcDOW53CrAPeFlOKGe5IyuaAbeOc

Used on race cars to remove a hood quickly. Due to the high likely of front end damage causing the usual mechanism to stick, race cars use pins.

Regardless of appearance, they are always recommended if you have fitted a carbon or fiberglass bonnet as the latch on the bonnet isn't as strong as a metal bonnet.

I've seen many a carbon bonnet catch let go at higher speeds and destroy a windscreen and roof.

You can get one that sit flush with the bonnet for a more subtle look.
