    Hi guys,

I am just wondering if anyone has tried the multipack of false eyelashes from Pennys? They look like th Girls Aloud multipack. You know with 5 sets of lashes put together.

I tried other lashes from there before and they were aweful, but these look pretty good.

The quality of the glue wouldn't be an issue as I have some Eyelure glue already.

I think the pack is €8 btw.

    Thanks :)

I've heard good things about them, I think you can also buy them in argos.
Apparently they're dupes of the girls aloud ones, I remember reading a blog that was comparing the two once.

I got a pack of them in Penneys today but first ones I tried to use kind of fell apart so I'ma take them back tomorrow and get different ones in case they were bad ones.

Yeah they are awesome, exactly like the girls aloud ones. And it's a great deal since you would pay nearly €8 for one pair of the girls aloud ones. I have to say I'm quite impressed with a lot of the penneys make up. I didn't expect much from any of it. :D

I haven't tried them as have a big stockpile of ebay ones I'm getting through but read about them here:

I had a look on the Argos site and they don't seem to stock them any more however.

I got 40 pairs of eyelashes on ebay for €6 incl p&p. However, I find that the strips where you apply the glue on them is far too thick and heavy and doesn't stick so great. I still have about 20 pairs at home. Plus with the ebay ones they are just a general round shape and don't compliment the eye. The ones in Penneys are short on the inside and then get thicker and longer on the outer corners of the eye which looks great.

I couldn't believe the deal I got on ebay then when I got them, I was so disappointed.

This site looks fantastic. I haven't purchased anything from it myself so I don't know what the shipping is like but with the conversion rate from the dollar to euros, you are paying next to nothing for some things :)

I bought the set Pennys are doing now in McCabes around Xmas and loved them (they were €10 there, even better in Pennys!). Theyre not my favourite lashes, but for the price you defo cant go wrong!

I find with the ebay ones if you trim them more than you normally would so they are only about 3/4 the size of your eye they work better. Will be interested to see how you get on with that site.

I usually use the Ardelle Luckies when I am going for fake eyelashes. Fairly priced too, if you only buy them once in a blue moon. I love the shape, adding thickness rather than ridiculous length. Anyone else hate the look of lashes that so obviously are fake?

Anywho, I think one of the pennys ones look the same shape so I will get them for tommorow night. I will let you know how I find them :)

There is one of the Pennys pair I find a rubbish...but I still buy the packs coz even 4 pairs for e8 is a great deal!!

I tried the Penneys lashes before and found they didn't last the night. I don't use them a lot but the best ones I've tried so far are the Eylure brand from Boots. Unless you're going for some seriously crazy lashes, I think the right glue is the most important part of the purchase.

You definitely need the right glue too. I highly recommend DUO lash glue which you can get in Inglot for a tenner. It's the equivalent to an eye primer in that it'll make cheapy lashes last much longer

I have stumpy little lashes. would love to be able to wear falsies but I just CANNOT put them on....

I can imainge i'd look ridiculous too as I'm so used to my little shorties.

I use these now and there great! Not as hard as the girls aloud ones but i find them much easier to apply as you can manipulate them a bit more. As suspected the glue is rubbish so im sticking to the Mac glue for these.

They started out at €10 per pack of 5 which was working out at €2 a pop which is fantastic value. They are on offer at the moment for €8 so stock up!! :p

So anway, I got the lashes...and I could't find my eyelure glue so I had to use the one that came with the lashes. Disaster. I couldn't even get them to stick a small bit.

On a good note, they fit my eyes well. And I am looking forward to trying them properly with real glue!

    I will keep ye posted.

These eyelashes are very good especially for the price. iv used them a few times, the only problem is the glue it's not very strong! they are basically copycat lashes of the girls aloud ones and you get 5 pairs for the price of 1 pair of GA lashes. however i'd recommend buying your own glue(eylure) for longer use.

I find the Penneys lashes a bit extreme for my eyes. They're too thick, dark and long for me. That said - some of my friends use them and they're really fabulous! I love the Essence eyelashes (which I haven't seen around lately), which are a more natural looking alternative for me.
