Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v

Thinking about getting one of these when they are eventually released (8th June I believe). It has been getting good reviews and looks to give the iPad2 a run for it's money in all departments.
What are peoples views on this? Looking like the best option for an Android tablet?

so 10.1 is the latest version with the 8 megapixel camera?
I was looking to buy a wifi only version for home use, I don't see them on amazon yet. Damn I wish they'd hurry up I cant wait much longer

There is a 10.1 and a 10.1v

The v was the first "draft" before the ipad 2 came out its thicker and a bit slower iirc then the 10.1. The V is exclusive to vodafone.

The 10.1 is due out any week now.

yea funny thing is the 'new' ones only have a 3mp cam not 8mp, funny that.

Probably down to the fact that the took a good few mm off the size. Besides what do you need an 8mp camera on a bleedin tablet for! If you want to take photo's a camera is a better idea :P

Was looking for an ipad alternative and was eagerly awaiting this...until I heard of the panel..apparently it requires a lot more pressure to open apps etc on it..

strange i read its quite responsive, as there are capactive screens and not resistive how hard you press is irrelevant.

think it was a preview one so maybe they got it sorted for the release versions...hopefully...although no expandable storage?

I actually want to get a good camera with mine - I got a little project in my mind where i'll need one. Its that or buy a seperate camera and a tablet.. It doesnt have to be too amazing but I would definitely pay more for an 8mp over 3mp.

I've also read its very smooth and fast.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab v10.1 or 10.1 ISN'T out yet only in the USA . The WIFI only version will be out by mid July and wifi and 36 will be out in August
