about time they lowered their prices, they're the most expensive cinema in the city! The Screen, the IFI and I think even the savoy are much cheaper

In fairness you can see where the money goes in CineWorld. It's clean, spacious and comfortable. And they always have a great selection. Going to the Savoy is like going back in time.

Place is getting absolutely crazy in terms of prices.

Saw a 3D film last Tuesday (Had my own glasses) and it cost 13e.

They are also charging 10e for a drink and popcorn.

I can only assume they are really trying to push people to the unlimited monthyl tickets with prices like that.

Get yourself a stock of Manhattans Popcorn (very good) at Tesco or similar and hide it in your girlfriend/wife's purse whenever going to the movies. Then buy just the soft drink at the snack bar. You'll save a good sum after a few movies!

Or just get the drink in Tesco too?!

    Thanks OP.

Have they fixed the booking machines or will I will still be forced to go to customer service to get my ticket despite been charged extra to book online.
On that note, why the **** is it extra to book online?! You'd think they'd encourage it.

in the Screen it's only a fiver for a large popcorn. Still get my sweets in aldi but it's a decent price when you fancy some cinema popcorn

Why not? If you can get from the chilled section it's probably fine :)

Is it not the case that they can't stop you bringing in your own drink and popcorn? Everything bar hot food is OK I think.

Never seen it enforced to be fair.

I generally try not ot rub it in their faces if possible though - makes it easier for them to let it slide.

UCI in the square tallaght used to check every group of kids/teenagers in the 90s!

This is a decent offer, wish more cinemas would follow suit on a half price tuesday(or similar), most of not all cinemas in sydney do half price tuesdays it usually would be packed and i ended up going to see films id never normally see just cos it was half price, if there going to have to run the film regardless why not get as many bums on seats and in turn get more popcorn etc sold, makes sense to me!
