Fail exam but passing on CA

Sorry if a thread about this already exists.

What happens if you pass a module on the CA but you fail the exam. For example if a module is 50/50 split on CA/Exam and say you get 35% on the CA and fail the exam but get enough to push the overall grade above the 40% mark, do you pass or fail the module overall?

they changed it so that if you pass over all then you pass... even if you fail the exam.

It depends on the module and the faculty, ask your module coordinator. In most cases it's the overall mark that counts but there are some modules where you have to pass each element independently.
