Simple query about UPC services

    What's the criac with adding and taking packages off do you enter 12 month or is it the standard charge for when you want to remove packages. Whets the cancellation period for removing packs. Gave to move from sky for various reasons so just curious. Thanks

    Just this morning I rang to cancel Sky Sports for the next 3 months. Customer services put me on to the Loyalty Dept, who agreed straight away to process my request. No mention of a downgrade fee (was/is €10). I'm still in my first year with them.

    Sports/movies etc is to stay for a minimum of one month and 10e downgrade fee to remove it.
    Upgrading the tv package itself (value to Select Extra etc ) is just the difference between the packs - going to a lower pack is a 10e downgrade fee.
    Upgrading to HD or Digital plus is a new 12month contract.
    Adding broadband/phone to an existing tv is new 12month contract for broadband or phone only
