Any other super phones on the way?

So we all know about the HTC Sensation and the Galaxy S II which are the hot phones of the moment - but I'm wondering if there are any other ‘even better’ phones on the horizon in the next few months? I’m not eligible for an upgrade for 5 months so if I want a S2 or Sensation I’ll have to buy it sim free now. However, perhaps if in 6 months some other brilliant phone comes out I’ll have an upgrade ready to go grab one then.

When I look at the S2 & HTC they kinda pretty much have everything you could want in a phone as far as I can see. But inevitably there will be some new phones that will have us all drawling with features we never knew we wanted until now. So does anyone know what these features will be and what phones are on the way out to temp us further?

3D will probably be the next thing. Evo 3D from HTC has it, but don't think that is available in Ireland. Not sure which Euro phone will have it first.

Wait till your contract is up, smartphones are going through the same iteration phases as laptops/PC's went through years ago in that technology is rapidly becoming cheap enough and small enough to make it into phones and this is happening so rapidly that every 6 - 8 months were likely to see something new. It will at some stage slow down but I think your likely to have the choice of something even better in 6 months time and if not you can still pick up a GS II or Incredible then.

Na I'm absolutely dying for a new phone, I'm just going to fork out the €600 or so to get one, less whatever I can get for my Desire.

3D on phone? Lol... Fair play to the marketeers for getting people to swallow that..

Hard to see Samsung not pitching in with a 3D enabled model now that LG (Optimus 3D)/HTC (Evo 3D)have announced their 3D handsets , GS3 is rumoured to be in the offing, possibly soon after IPhone5 is released in the last quarter of 2011.

If its anything like the Nintendo 3DS then it could be stunning, I was a huge nay sayer about the 3DS until I actually used one!

To be honest, if you're really dying for a new phone then get one now. The SGS2 or Sensation are both excellent quality handsets and they'll offer all the speed and performance you want.

As with all tech, there will be something better out soon (quad core etc.) but most software won't be optimised straight away so it'll be the same with a little more GPU power behind it.

Like look at the single core phones out at the moment, they're still really good for what you're going to be doing with a phone so either the SGS2 or Sensation will be worth it.

I, personally, would go for the SGS2. The benchmark results I've seen of the performance are shockingly good. Of course saying that: the Sensation isn't out yet but I doubt if it'll get anywhere near the Exynos processor that's in the SGS2.

Are you sure you'll be able to get it? If you're looking at the american version you won't be able to as it uses a CDMA network which only Verizon and Sprint use in the US.

I heard something about some phone company in France getting it's own version, but that could just be lies. :)
