    Hello

Makes sense to offer this on a large item I'm going to be selling. I've two questions - Do ebay rules allow you to stipulate cash on collection, it's preferable as I will have no proof of delivery if I accept payment through PayPal?

Also, if buyer collects and pays in cash, the listing will continue to show payment pending -how do you close the transaction on the ebay system?

To be honest if it were something that large that can only be collected i wouldn't use ebay, there fee's are huge (something like 10% of the final sale) and if the item is for collection it will only be seen on ebay.ie anyway. id use adverts.ie or donedeal.ie.
But to answer your question yes you can stipulate c.o.d and once you have received payment if you go to sold items there is a small drop down to the right hand side which you can mark as payment received

Prevalence of timewasters puts me off Adverts.ie tbh, have sold items quickly on ebay at decent prices while they've languished on adverts.ie and buyandsell.ie. Just my experience, ta for advice though, appreciated.
