Is it ok to post pics of a solar panel/hot water system here?

No advertising of company names,no phone numbers, nothing like that.

Just the decommisioning of the existing tank and pipework in my house, and then instalation process of the solar system from a "home owners" point of view and how much or little work is involved in it and what disruption (if any) is caused in a household?

Pics of how the panel is secured to the roof, how the pipework is routed through the attic down to the hotpress.

Pics of how the new water tank and control panel is installed and hooked up to the rest of the system.

I take pics of everything and anything that is done to my house (from foundations upwards),as its allways handy to have pics to see and view,as they may be very usefull for the future.

So would pics of the solar hot water system being installed in my house be of any use to any forum members here, from a "homeowners" point of view???

    Thanks.:)

I cant even post a thread and ask a question now, without someone jumping down my throat at the very 1st oppertunity.:(

To answer your comments and presumptious judgements........

Eh no Im not looking for a discount, and you are jumping the gun and falsly presuming.

My SEI grant was approved yesterday so that was and is my discount right there.:)

    Some poor unfortunate you say???

    Eh NO,actually.

More like a very long running and well established company, and not poor at all.

Im a home owner, just like may of you are here, and all I am wanting to do is post pics (from my view as a home owner) as to the process of getting a solar heating system installed and to show what actually happens in a household when a solar system is installed.

I just thought that the general members of the forum might like to see from a fellow members and home owners viewpoint,as to whats really involved and what disruption (if any) is caused in the day or 2 that it might take to install the system into my house.

    Regards.

I'd be interested anyway, always like to see how things work out in practice.

I'd also enjoy seeing how long running well established companies do it.

Is it going to be alright for me to upload pictures of my work ?
I don't think it's right for me to do that ,so why is it ok for someone elses work to be up ?

It's all advertising ,whether it's direct or indirect.

Its not advertising,if I dont show any names or post numbers or company names of the company.

If I posted a pic of a solar panel that I saw on someones roof, then in your eyes Im advertising.

Answer me this.....WHO AM I ADVERTISING if its unbranded and no numbers or company logos are on it?????

Please enlighten me as Id love to know.

Because to me and most others,it would just simply be a pic of a solar panel, and nothing more

I did STATE this from the beginning ( no names, numbers etc),which you failed to see or read.:(

You are getting petit now about this. And theres no need for this petit carry on now.

This is about a solar panel instalation from my perspective and from my point of view as a normal general home owner.

Real world pics and real world review of how the instalation went into my house.

Pics to back up the words and show other home owners here, whats what. The good and also the bad (if any bad) sides to ripping out the existing tank and piping and the instalation of the solar system.

I dont think theres any harm in posting pics of that.
But obviously you have an issue with me doing so,from the looks of your posts

    Why is beyond me though.

    2 options for you here.....

1-Take it to a PM with me then,if you have a problem with me.

    OR

2-Feel free to get what ever is on your mind, off your chest and let all the fustration out here publicly on this thread. It will do you good.

And I wont mind about what you may have to say about me.

Ive no problem with you though, sure why would I?

    Regards.

I dont think putting photos up is a good idea.
Its fair enough if someone has a query about something ,but you seem very confident about who you are getting to do the job.
Why not set up a flickr account and link it in a sig or something?

Well 3 other members so far (see above posts) seem to think its a good idea by showing their interest.

I am an outgoing and confident person, thats me in a nuttshell.:)

    And,as my father would say...................

From what I can see your first attempt was locked because of your cheesy love in with the installer, I can't advertise here and your adverts/posts to me sound like your a agent for the installer and not a house holder, but I could be wrong:eek:

Thinking about it, I should get you to fit one of my boiler;)

Paddy, This isn't an appropriate way of asking to advertise.
