hi.I am already registered as self employed. My customers are only personals. How can i get "empty" receipts? Can i buy them some where ? Is there any special standart for them?

What are the requirements issuing a receipt (and keeping records of them)? Do i need my company stamp?

    Thanks:)

    Morning,
You can purchase receipt books in Easons. Your contact details can be written or stamped on.

If you have a PC & printer you can do them yourself. All you need is Your Name/Company name, address, VAT Number and receipt reference number. Ref number is for future reference/you tax records. Either Hand write customer details or use pc / printer to add.

There's no need for you to purchase receipts but customers will require something as proof for purchase.

    Best of luck
    AJB

You can decide what they are. If printing receipts yourself start with '000001' etc.

You could try something like billingboss http://www.billingboss.com/

Which creates professional looking invoices for free and can also help you keep track of sales and payments.

You should never start a receipt book at 1. You never want customers to know they are the first customer!

To make it easier I normally use the year as well so
20091001, 20091002,20101001,20111001 etc makes it easier to find things later.
