Any tips for the driving test practical? like reversing around corners or three point turns?

Are there any difficult things you might get asked to do?

    Tip 1: Don't crash.

As long as you can say the alphabet backwards while juggling knives and reversing around a corner, youll be grand.

When crossing the road, make sure to ask the examiner to "look out there and make sure nothing is coming".

That's what they are there for - if he doesn't do that, turf him out of the car.

Actually learn how to do things like reversing around corners or three point turns before you book your test?

Just make sure you dont over-concentrate during the test. Treat it in the same way as you treat the last 3 or 4 lessons leading up to it. Staying relaxed is the key.

Depending on the car, but suitable for most. Put a strip of black tape on the exact middle of the rear parcel shelf, then when you're reversing around a corner, line up the black tape with the kerb you can see. It will mean you can keep reversing parallel to the kerb and also it should leave the car about 1 foot for the kerb, perfect.

Also, sleep with the examiner. It's a sure way to pass.

A gram of speed beforehand really helps your focus.

Turn the radio on. When the tester goes to turn it off slap his/her hand - They love the kinky stuff ;)

It never hurts to have the airspeed velocity of an African swallow at hand.

Tip #2; try the 'Learning to Drive' forum. :p

I suppose if you got scared/frightened, you could always untighten the steering wheel and hand it to the examiner and say "here, you have it - i dont wanna drive anymore"
