    Hi all hopeyou can help,i have loads listed below and i am wondering can you help me in selecting the rightt maximum imported capacity Kva

    lighting 2.2kw
    unrestricted space heating 22kw
    water heating 4kw
    storageheating 18kw
    other loads pcs kettle microwave etc (NO KITCHEN) 12 kw


    im thinking 3 phase 16kva

    any help appreciated

    What you have to do is apply a diversity factor to each individual load and then add them all up. If you are saying that 16 kVA is suitable, then you are applying quite a high diversity factor. Perhaps this is OK, but 10 kVA sounds a bit small to me.

    The question is, worse case scenario what is the maximum load that you expect to have on at the same time?

    there's a guide there-but there's no set rules really afaik

    it's down to judgment of designer

    -and also you may need to allow some spare capacity for future expansion after applying diversity
