    Hey all,

Just wondering how big I could realistically think about blowing up 35mm negatives before compromising quality? Also, where would ye recommend I go for prints?

    Thanks.

what speed was the film? that can have a bearing on how big you can go - the faster the film, the bigger the grain will be and the more noticable it will be. but then again that depends on whether you like grain and if the image warrants it?

how big you can go will also depend on the quality of the lens, the sharpness of the original neg - and lots and lots of other things. i've seen things printed out 3 feet on the sort side and thought 'wow', i've seen other stuff 16x20 and thought 'nope'.

All depends on how much c4, black powder and gasoline you can get your hands on. :P

The film was Ilford HP5 so the speed was 400. The image is pretty grainy but I think it suits it and adds to the mood. Probably looking at not much bigger than A3 or so?
