    I could be wrong, but I think the Condor was produced by Same up to about 1983 or 84. The most common model was a 55 which produced about 53HP. They are a rare machine in Ireland - I've only seen 1 which was imported from Holland a few years back and it was a 2wd.

    Based on Same tractors of the time, things to look out for are;

    Wear in the grarbox
    Wear in the clutch
    Steering joints
    Check it over and under for oil leaks - and since it hasn't been run for a few years, it needs a hard run before you check it.
    Make sure its firing on all cylinders - it could be an expensive fix if she's not

    Same tractors from the early 80's aren't making too much money so don't part with a huge amount - certainly a good bit less than you would pay for an equivalent MF or Ford from the era.

    Also, enquire locally about the availability of parts for the specific model. there's no point in buying it if you cannot get parts off the shelf for it here.

    Hope that helps.

    Yes, they are air cooled and have a very reliable air cooled system for the time. That's not a bad price if there's not much rust on her. I can't emphasise enough to make sure the engine is running properly (Firing properly and sounding good) after having sat up for such a long time. it could be an expensive fix if it isn't.

    Its probably because condensation got into the back end oil while the tractor was left idle. This would cause the oil to curd and block the filter gauze to the pump - meaning no oil flow. Simple enough fix.

    I'd advise getting a mechanic to have a look at it before you part any money!!
