picture quality

    i replaced my amstrad drx595 sky hd box with a refurbished samsung sky+ hd box last week and i may be imagein things but i dont think the picture quality on standard definition is as good as the amstrad one. would a sky box lose its picture quality over time?????

    nope.

    have you rechecked the hdmi connections. ? and set up correctly on the sky box?

    set scart control to off
    scart video out .. RGB
    HD resolution ....1080i

    i presume you have it hooked up to a widescreen panel.

    the only setting i had diffrent to above was scart video out was set to PAL instead of RGB. what diffrence is there between the two. yeah its hooked up to a 42 inch. just thought the matches yesterday werent as sharp as normal!!!!
