    Hi Guys,

I'm after a Mk2 MR2..decided to scrap the primera and get something abit more fun! Is there anything specific that can be troublesome on these?

I've looked on a few places and other then the usual stuff and warped brakes they seem to be bullet proof enough.

    Cheers folks.

rust can be an issue so keep an eye on that, calipers can seize if left for some time, if it's a t bar pour a jug of water over the roof with someone inside to make sure the seals are in good condition,
check the heater works as the heater matrix can go and thats a big job.
plenty of info here from plenty off lads in the know

I had one a few years back great fun .Try to get a revision 3 turbo model they are most powerful model with 245 bhp standard and the rear of them is much nicer with facelifted lights and centre garnish check it has no overheating probs or coolant leaks as rad is at front of car and engine is mid mounted and can be hard to sort no coolant to engine = fried head gasket. Check for standard suspension as if it has been lowered or put on coilovers it looks great but the ride is horrible also if its a t bar check for leaks in roof as the seals go after time or bodged repair jobs look terrible anyway they are a super little sports car that from standing start are as quick as standard imprezas and evos what more can u ask for under 3 grand.
