Best skin coloured tights to hide scars?

I'm going to a wedding in the next few weeks and have a few large unsightly scars on my legs from an accident a few years ago.

I've tried Sally Hansen and Pan stick but it doesn't seem to hide the "red tinge" that is in some of the scars, I've also been using bio oil for months .

So I'm looking for some skin coloured tights. I'm very paled skined and in my twenties so I really don't want orange thick matte things. I've seen the M&S open toe ones are they any good?

Any other suggestions will be welcome!!!

A green tinted concealer would help with covering the redness, pan stik is useless. I don't know about tights but if you try asking someone at a cosmetics counter in a large chemist or department store some of them can advise you on how to cover them using make up, I used to work in a large chemist and we had 2 staff trained in scar covering make up application, I know we had make up that could be bought the same as any regular make up that was natural looking but thick enough to cover some types of scars.

Do you remember what brands those makeups were for scars? Sounds useful for one-offs..

I never heard the brands because I was in a different department and literally only heard snippets in the canteen and staff meetings, but the brands we had were Vichy, Clinique, Estee Lauder, Clarins, so probably a few of them.

I know you are looking for tights but you could test this out at any pharmacy that stocks Vichy, it might suit:

I find Vichy foundations in general to provide very good coverage so this could be worth a try!

I think Cover Fx is meant to be great for scars - its pricey though. Think they do it in Harvey Nicks in Dubdrum.

What about something like this, it covers tattoos so I'm pretty sure it'd hide your scars.

Make Up Forever also do a cover up for tattoos and it's excellent. Never actually used it for this purpose myself but used it on my Mum once when she had a bruise on her face and had a black tie event to go to and it worked a dream. I also used it on a friend's leg as she wanted to cover a rather prominent varicose vein for a wedding she was attending. So call in and see if there's anything they can do for you, they're generally very helpful from what I've seen!
