    Hello all,
not sure if this is the right forum, if not feel free to move.

Can someone shed some light on the Irish/european law with regards to the issuing of company ID's( or a place where i can look it up). Is the company or the person reciveing the ID liable for the costs of producing such and ID.

    thanks for any help

    Regards MrPint

Depends on the situation. Sometimes the building that the company is in requires it other times its the company.

I'd imagine that your employer should provide it but it wouldn't be unreasonable to have a deposit system or charge for replacements.

    I agree.

However, if the ID is attached to some sort of professional qualification, e.g. SafePass, Private Security Authority, etc. then it may be a condition of employment and you are expected to have it yourself, although some employers will fund it for employees.
