Yup. Lost 4 weanling heifers 2 years ago. We dosed and injected them with everything for fluke and worms and suspected resistance until the vet suggested zanil as it hadnt been used here with years. Cleared up right away but the heifers now are very small after calving but milking ok. The new winter doseing routine now is fluke worms lice and rumen fluke

It was the start of december so they were still on grass in a dry field. They were getting 1 kg of nuts too and scouring, some badly. I had ran out of calf nuts and was blaming the calmag in the dairy nuts for the scouring.
I brought in the scouring ones and re-dosed them with endospec then fasinex then ivomec and anybloody thing at hand but nothing worked so i called the vet and he dosed them too in case my doses were gone bad or not mixed properly. Same result. He took samples and sent them off and suggested zanil as he reckoned resistance to fluke rather than type 2 worms.
It took a week to get the zanil and i did the bad ones. At that stage 2 had died and the zanil 'killed' 2 more. Its a damned hard drug on the stomach. But the rest turned around in 3 days. They will struggle to hit 500kg LW but i am not too worried about that.
I had one JEX bull down for about 3 weeks too but he stood eventually. Lazarus he was christened:)

Yes, similar story to 5live. I lost 2 cows and a third was going down hill slowly. Dosed with Levafas diamond (couldn't get zanil) and after initially getting worse for 2/3 days turned the corner and is now is perfect.

That was 2 years ago now when things were paricularly wet. AHI have some good info on it on their website.
