Ok guys I have my iPhone 4 sync'd with my iTunes as normal. Everythin I automated as in I sync all music, apps, movies etc as per my iTunes organisation.

But here's the kicker, I also sync and updat my GF iPhone 4 with my iTunes although I manually manage that one, no apps or movies and I drag and drop what music she wants at different times or when ever she needs it.

Now the big question is, when j sync her phone it goes through the motions of backing up etc but what I want to know is there a back up of her phone saved somewhere with apps and app info stored?

Reason is, she has some bang ms pregnancy apps that he alot o info and photos on them from pregnancy and nots of various doctor visits etc and if she lost her phone tomorrow, would a set up from the back ip of her old phone have all this info?

Thanks and sorry for the king winded post.

Yes, it should be. You can verify this for yourself by going into Edit > Preferences > Devices in iTunes and there should be one or more line entries with dates for her phone there.

Yeah, my wife got a phone last week that we had to get swopped out as it was DOA, and I could restore the new handset from the first backup I made of the original, and I still had my own phone's backup too.

The only issue is with syncing contacts - for some reason, you can't specify a sync profile for each phone. So I wanted to sync her phone with the windows contacts and mine with google contacts. No dice, whatever I chose would default for both phones. So I ended up disabling contact syncing and syncing with our mail contacts instead.

App Store IDs are messy too. When you sync the phone with iTunes, whichever Apple ID is currently logged into iTunes is the one that the phone will use.

Odd that Apple never considered this, especially since you don't have multiple users on Macs like you do with Windows.
