Some printers collapsed/Future Print and other/ . Others have more orders now, because somebody has to do the job. How do you think looks printing after recovery? Whether prices will continue to fall, or can grow from now?
    What you think?

The printing industry has been devastated. Hundreds of contracts, including government contracts, are now printed outside the country. Instead of breaking up their printing requirements and having them printed in this country, the government bulk everything together and put it up to tender. This benefits the low-cost foreign printers and put hundreds of Irish workers on the dole.

The costs for getting stuff printed in Ireland is stupidly expensive compared to buying abroad. the Irish print industry has overpriced itself.

Unfortunately I have to agree with this. Got 3 quotes for printing recently from Dublin based companies. Ended up going with a company in Newry because they were 30% cheaper.

Also once paid €72 for 100 business cards. Granted it was late notice and I needed them by 5pm that day. But they ripped me off considerably so from then onwards I look outside Ireland for printing needs, sad but true. I'd spend the money here if they were any way competitive but the fact is they just aren't.
