    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a ground coffee from aldi or lidl or any supermarket for a coffee filter machine.

I heard good reviews for Aldi's Specially Selected Java..any report?

Oh an I love strong coffee if that helps

I can't recommend the lidl stuff anyway. It really is terrible. :( I bought it as backup / emergency coffee.

You can get yourself some very very nice coffee for a filter from hasbean.co.uk for what turns out to be similar money.

The one from Aldi is quite ok. Not poisonous at least.

My brother used to buy their cheapest ground coffee to scatter on his vegetable patch as an environmentally-friendly slug repellent - it worked for him!

Cant disagreed with you more. The Lidl ground coffee is excellent and quite a few people over the years complemented the coffee without knowing where it came from. Im talking about the one in the black pack containing two gold foil pouches BTW.

I agree. Have brewed up some delicious coffee from Lidl. Was really impressed with it. Well worth a try.
