If this is in the wrong forum I will be happy to have it moved.

Part time or elsewise I would be interested in doing something of the sort.

If you're gonna be doing it for the first time, you're gonna be doing it for free.

    One possible route:
    - Start a blog and write.
    - Accept criticism from anyone who reads/comments on it, constructive or otherwise, and learn.
    - Build up a portfolio of sorts, coupled with some positive feedback, and send it to newspapers/whoever.

In terms of actual gainful employment, I'd imagine it'd be pretty tough to get, unless maybe you know someone in a position to help you..

    Blog a lot
Try to contact local / college / online publications and do pieces for them
    Build up reputation
    Finally get a paying job....

I'd like to write about music but could only do gig reviews / interviews rather than album reviews :D

    🤪

I thought all music critics were just failed musicians exacting revenge on those more talented than them - so; be a failed musician! :D
