Working in Ibiza - Any Advice?

    Hi Folks,

Heading out to Ibiza in the first week of June. Staying for two weeks on a trial run with the intention of working into July if things go well. Just a few questions if anyone could shed any light?

What is the average wage like and what would be the cost of living? I'm not looking to come back at a profit (I know I won't) but on average what can one expect to earn?

How easy is it to land a job? What type of jobs are the best earners? Any jobs to avoid or conversely try harder to get?

Been DJing for years but not sure about the standard required. Is it worth handing out demo's? Whats the best way to even land a warm up or "in the corner" slot?

Any advice greatly appreciated even outside the scope of my questions above. Cheers!

Worked there over 10 years back, the money is bad but you`ll get by . now really is the time to be going over there to get some jobs.

You might be lucky - i see plastik bar on Facebook are looking for people now.

You may get a few spots to spin the odd record but nothing paid

Thanks for the advice. The general idea is to scope out the work opportunities for the first week, if we ain't happy we'll just make a holiday out of the second week.

I appreciate what your saying about the DJing. I wasn't expecting a pay cheque at the end, I'd be honest and say I'm not at that standard.
