    Who's staying up boys? :D

I got B-Hop in this one. The first fight was all he needed to adjust to Pascal's style, so I reckon the wily old fox Hopkins has him figured out now. Pascal will have no answer. Hopkins is about 11-8 with the bookies, but I think he takes a UD here, seeing as he hasn't knocked anybody out since De La Hoya 8 years ago. Hopkins to become oldest world champ in boxing history at age 46!

    Hopkins UD

Going to back B-hop at 11/8 for the win.

Even at 46 B-Hop is still a class fighter.

He was 2.54 with betfair two days ago....very nearly got on it but didn't because my betting days are behind me!

Unless father time has caught with him since the last fight, i see Hopkins winning on points. I certainly hope he becomes the oldest champ in boxing history.
What time is the fight starting at? 4am?

Nah he's 46, i just can't see him catching Pascal on points, then again i backed Pascal the last time haha.

Last time out I picked Hopkins to win the fight but lose the decision. This time I don't see them screwing him over and I don't see Pascal repeating the knockdowns either. Ex to win a clear but competitive decision :)

Chad Dawson's a funny case isn't he - So talented, so technically skilled, but he's just too laid back. Seems disinterested half the time

Great entrances, would be great to see B-Hop win it. Hoping for a classic.

Hopkins was hurt in the last round. Hopkins is trying to trade with Pascal, which is foolish.

How would you of scored the first four?

Pascal is winning by a round in my opinion. Hopkins seems to have turned it around in the last couple of rounds.

Hopkins put on a masterclass in the last round.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 453 ✭✭Denners.ie

Hopkins really is a mastercraftsman, his ability to adapt to situations is amazing.
I think he has Pascal's number now, can see him taking these last three rounds.

Congratulations to old man Hopkins. He is a master at adapting during the course of a fight. After he got into his groove, he put on a boxing clinic.

He should retire now but won't. He has nothing left to prove.

Haha all the good it done me. Went to bed, i couldn't hang in, just watched it though, brilliant by Hopkins.
The pace was perfect for him yet again and his technical skills won it. Still can't understand why Pascal didn't set a high pace, i really think he has stamina issues.

Great achievement but Hopkins is scrappy and as dirty as they come... though his ability to take Pascal totally out of his stride is admirable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,357 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Hop is remarkable for 46 years old; but seriously, Pascal, world beater? Man, in the day he'd be lucky to get a top 20 rating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,378 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

Hopkins should go out on top now, but of course he won't.
I think Dawson will beat him. Dawson was going through the motions due to personal issues when he lost to Pascal. Dawson is a far better boxer technically than Pascal and will likely outpoint Hopkins.

Chad has great talent but he just looks disinterested these days. Add to that the fact that Hopkins is a southpaw-killer with that lead right and the fight suddenly becomes interesting.

Depends which dawson turns up IMO.
