Mona-their debut album was released a few days ago, I'm going to go out and get it on Monday :). Anyone get it ?, their single "teenager" looks like its a hit. Interesting to see they played Whelans and will be at Slane next week too with Kol. Good record ?

Really good band, Seen them in Whelans and went to their album launch show in London too. I'll see them at Oxegen next.

EDIT: I kinda really like the band...

ha :) well I've always said I wanted to collect everything by at least one band and because they were fairly new I was able to keep up to date with everything. And a lot of the stuff in the picture I picked up for free from the band so that was handy.

I have had the album since it came out and i love it!
some fantastic tracks on it like 'trouble on the way' and 'taboo lights'.

was meant to see them them at slane but didnt get down in time, it'l probably be a while before they are back playing in Ireland again.

Did a quick search online for some reviews of the album, and i could hardly find a reviewer who liked it! it was totally slated on almost every review i read on NME, guardian, independent etc. they all gave it 2/5 at the most!

    Pretty harsh imo!

They are playing Oxegen on the Saturday this year but no other shows lined up here yet, Here's some footage of their Whelans gig in Feb. (Jordan had broken a string and messed up the sound at start)

reviews have been cruel alright, seen some give it album of the month though. Funny thing about the NME review is they picked them as there No.1 to look out for and wouldnt stop hyping them up and then just slated them.

for anyone interested Mona are meant to be playing The Academy on Wednesday (26th Oct) for the Trinity College Halloween Party thing. Band havent confirmed but Trinity College Ents say they are and would make sense going by the tour dates.
