apologies for the stupidity of this (as im still unsure whether its right)

the alarm keeps going off in my car (02 premacy). I mentioned to mechanic when servicing and he said he could disconnect sound but not lights as connected to central locking or something. I said fine. Worst thing as now the lights just flash and drain battery. (at least when the sound was there i could run out and unlock car)

So if the mechanic cant sort it can an auto electrician do this or do i need to bring to mazda dealer?
