He was lying in state there today in the Mansion House.

Did anyone get any photos, especially close-ups of the body, or was photography banned?

    May he rest in peace.

Went down to pay my respects. Photography is banned in the room itself. The official cameras will be in later if at all.

A very dignified and orderly send off for a true gentleman. May he rest in peace.

That's a bit of a weird thing to ask, no? Why would anyone take pictures of his body when they are paying their respects?

    Strange.

Yes, but he was famous. Is it wrong to photograph a dead body?

Not wrong to photograph a dead body.
I actually have one of my own Grand-father laid out but it was taken in private by a family member..............certainly not the done thing for the general public to photograph somebody at a wake
There is official footage of him laid out by RTE. Ya can check that out if you are so inclined ;)
