Expansion with Imac

I am considering buying an Imac but as I have no experience of them I was hoping to get some advice.

Just wondering in terms of expansion of RAM and graphics cards etc, is it as simple as expansion on a mac pro? i.e. Can I just take off the panel and slip them in like you can do on the mac pro..!?

If I don't buy an imac then I'd go for the mac pro, being realistic it's probably better suited for my needs, but the Imac is so pretty :p

what are your needs? imacs are non user servicable. adding ram is easy but anything else is difficult as for a new GPU... out of the question

Yep. It's pretty. But I had an i7 and 8GB RAM installed when ordering so as NOT to go at the thing afterwards. For very obvious reasons.

iMac RAM is user upgradeable and very easy to do, there's only one screw to open on the underside of the computer.
