hi i have a Peugeot 306 1.4 petrol year 1998. it has started cutting out while idling if the lights or heater is turned on if i don't press the accelerator it will drop from 1000 rpm down to 800 and will drop in rpm another bit and cut out. it also cuts out when brakeing to stop at cross roads or when i have to brake to stop to give right of way. it only cuts out when braking to stop or idling. i changed the oil, oil filter and air filter in February. i changed the plugs 6 weeks ago. and the front break pads 3 weeks ago. i has gotten worse for cutting out sense i changed the front pads. the miles are around 115k

Its probably the throttle body housing and breather pipes are clogged up and not enough air is getting into the engine while idling. I'd the same problem in my 1997 1.8 petrol laguna and cleaning all these sorted the problem.
