What documentary evidence am I supposed to supply with a JSA application? Not one job I have applied to has bothered getting back to me by email or post. I have nothing to show the inspector except the emails I have sent out myself. And absolutely nothing from the shops I have handed CVs into.

Will a printout of jobs I have applied for be enough evidence?

Printouts of the job specs, printouts of the emails you sent applying for the jobs, and a list of phonecalls you made (date, time, phone number and who you spoke to). And a list of the shops you applied to (preferably with copies of the cover letter and cv you used)

Just include as much paperwork as possible. They're not fussy but if you have nothing to show for your jobhunting efforts it will cause you a lot of trouble.

just like what tenchi-fan has said, i also record all job references that ive applied, CVs that I sent out by post, addresses of places that I sent CVs out to. Citizen Information once said to me, it wouldnt count as job hunting if you say, ... go into Tesco and ask if theres a job available (as there isnt any job vacancy advertised).

    good luck
