4085. land charge 100/ac=2600 +fertiliser, lets say 3.5 bags can/ac @330 ton =1485. will differ with area, demand, quality and type fo fertiliser spread. it looks expensive but fertiliser is driving it this year.

let say you get 10 bales to the acre thats 260 bales (chopped)
cost of bale before making it = 15.71
    cut 2 euro
    bale and wrap 5.50 euro
    plastic 2.75
draw and stack 2.50 (could vary with length of draw)

    total per bale =28.46 euro
you would have no problem buying good silage bales dropped in the yard for 20 euro a bale
1885 euro for the 26 acres for one cut is all it is worth really depending how handy it is for you

    1st cut silage
100euro per acre land charge plus fert
3bags of CAN to the acre,45euro, plus slurry, 25euro.

    I'd be looking for 170-180euro/acre:eek:

unless its top quality forget about it. there are cheaper products to be bought offering much better bang for your buck.

Much of a cut in it?

@Bactidiaryl: why do you include land charge if hes only getting a cut of grass?

Must be an idiot selling it. My silage ground gets about €55 per acre of fert. About €120 per acre sounds about right if its a good crop.
