Children are pulling at trees on the esate. if one put something around the trees say a plastic protector to prevent them and they hurt themselves would one be liable? I cannot really see how thye would hurt themselves as they are only plastic butyou never know

Unless the tree is on your property you really shoudn't be doing anything to it. If the tree is on your property then you owe the normal occupier's duties in respect of the state of the property.

Not really your problem. If they are not on your property don't do anything to them.

You could try speaking to the parents of the children in question. If the land that the trees are on has been taken in charge by the local authority then you could try complaining to them.

Bring it up at a residents' association meeting? If you took action without consulting them then I would imagine they would be pissed.

Could you try and become one? Or even try to address one of the meetings? They might be just as concerned with this as you if you brought it to their attention.

    Then what do you expect?
seriously like, either get involved in any resident association applicable to your area, or get down from your high horse and accept that these kids are probably enjoying the tree far more than you. Are you looking for people from the internet to help you out in spite of your laziness?

Climbing trees is part of a childhood, it spells danger and excitement and adventure, and its better that they are doing it in your neighbourhood then in a secluded woods somewhere.

Unfortunately too large a percentage of the population grow up and forget the thrill of childhood endeavours and begin to think its more important that the kids dont step on their pansies or bring mud into their house, try not to become one of these people while you still have a chance, life can be fun, you don't have to get old and sour and self righteous.
