Anyone like to put a value on my car?

As above, 56k km, FSH, great nick, factory xenons, 18's, Columbus sat nav, taxed until March and just serviced. Needs nothing.

Are you selling? Reckon it's worth at least 18k. Nice car.

they have the much more reliable engine than the 06/07 models. couldnt really fault it for that price especially compared to vw 'reliabilty'. what colour?

    Selling it already?
I would expect €18k for it..
That is what i am looking at for my one @ 2 yr old. Though mileage will be smaller than yours.
And of course mine is in a better color :D

Contemplating it at the moment alright. Just don't know what to do with it. To trade it in or sell privately

What are you considering to change to?

That's a topic for another thread! I don't know to be honest. I'll have to have a think hence the reason for getting a rough valuation. I was thinking about 17k myself tbh. Was hoping someone in the trade might have a clue

i would have thought 18k was a bit hopeful. imo thats what a dealer would put in on the forecourt at. They would offer 15k as a trade in and you'd be looking at 16 to 16.5 selling private imo.

I would have said it's a bit young to sell on unless you see a really good deal to move to, taking quite a hit. Another year with it and it depreciation curve will start to flatten out a bit

    I only bought it 4 months ago:D

ah ok, well then shift it on if not happy and it makes sense money wise. Would say that won't play well with private buyers who have a bit of sense and check how long you've had it though, could affect the price.

I know. I'm the thrd owner, first guy changes every year and second guy needed the money for a house. Looks a bit suss. Have done about 20k in it since I got it but thinking a car from a class up is more suitable for that kind of work. Also did very well when buying it pricewise.

I think that would still be a bit high, BUT there are very few '09 cars on the market. You're only competing against fresh UK imports and that works in your favour. Price it at 17k and see how you get on?

That would be the plan. Irish cars are higher spec and mine just happened to have a few nice extras that might help me get a small little bit extra or at least make it more saleable. I found it very hard to get a fresh one when buying too.

Now to carzone for a night of tormenting myself.

I was thinking of buying an Octavia VRS, i have a couple of questions

    1. Whats the boot like

    2. Is it fast

stick it up for sale, if it sells good and well as you'll be in a much better position for buying your next car

I would really fancy your chance of getting a very decent price for that privately. Recent DPF replacement is a selling point to someone who knows their beans.

    1) Its adequate, but it really depends how fat the mobster you whack is. An wagon might be a better option for you.

    2) Its faster than Chuck Norris blinking.

How many cats can fit in the boot have a couple around here?

Didn't the compressor go in your Leon as well?

TBH, I'm not the biggest VAG fan in the world, but I've seen this car, and it's actually a cracking motor. EPM's a bit overly critical about stuff like wheels and things, to most people the car's 100% and I genuinely think you'd get top dollar for it second hand with a well worded ad on donedeal, and some good quality photographs and maybe a youtube video too.
