Not sure where to post this, If im in the wrong section tell me.

I bought an item on ebay, It is 140cmx65cmx45cm and weighs approx 40kgs. I need to get it delivered from London to anywhere in Ireland where I will collect it. I was hoping to come across someone comming home from the London area with an empty van in the next week or 2 who might carry it for me. I will of course pay them but the courrier companies are just way too expensive. I only paid €60 for it and they are talking about €200 to get it here. Anyone any ideas for me as to how I might get it here?

Contact the Pallet Network in Dublin . - Ask them about their rate for a carton from UK to Ireland .

If you are outside of Dublin , contact your local Pallet Network courier - There is one in every county .

    This is their website :

You've probably contacted dhl, UPS etc. These companies are very expensive for overweight one off deliveries.

You're a bit over max parcel size for the likes of dpd, but they may do it. Another to try is hales freight , dsv or primeline and ask them for a collect from depot quote.
