I want to send a big parcel about 80 pounds of soft clothes.

I'm getting crazy postage rates.. 300 dollars?!?!?!

Anyone have any ideas how to ship stuff a bit cheaper?

It'd be cheaper to buy a plane ticket and bring it over in a suitcase, by the sounds of it!

I don't think there is a way to do it much cheaper than that, it's all decided by weight afaik. Divide the clothes into smaller parcels and ship smaller ones separately? Might end up paying the same in the end anyway if you do it that way, though.. just a thought.

Get 4 usps flat rate boxes, you can squeeze up to 20lbs in each. They cost $45 for a medium or $58 for a large. Have a read of usps.com
