    Hi All,
Sold my car a few months back much quicker than expected.
Faced with the prospect of having no car for monday morning I bought this off a relative (knowing the history and all that).

    It's and '06, black, Saloon.
    120 PS
    Absoloutley prestine condition.
Alloys / cruise / Air con.

The reason I have a bit of trouble putting a value on it is the mileage
    is a measily 30,000 Klms.

Lots of petrols / Junkers / high milers for sale but little to compare with.

My question I suppose is what sort of premium low mileage cars command compared with a similar car that has average to high miles?

i was considering these lately but found it hard to get a nice facelift cdti with reasonable mileage. id spend 5k on that car no problem, the one thing that puts me off the vectras though is the interior, its poo

Agree completly and this is the main reason I'm not hanging on to it.

    Indeed.

How much did you pay for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,238 ✭✭✭Ardennes1944

i have the same gen. astra and the interior is way nicer, you'd think, it being the more expensive car, and the facelift, opel would've sorted the interior some bit.
if its the cdti then remap it and hold onto it

........ how much over €5000 do you expect to get for it?

Yeah, had a 07' astra for a couple of weeks on loan and it is an improvement.
Thinking of a remap and holding on to it alright, although it's pulling well and delivering 55Mpg so not sure I need it!

Don't know, I do know that there is no similar spec / mileage for sale for anything close to 5K though.

Sold an 07 Life 120ps a few weeks ago. 139,000km and went (trade) for €5,900.

I'd expect €6,000 - €6,500 for an 06, higher spec, with very low mileage.

Got €7500 for my 5 year old SRi 150 last year trade with 103k on it...so maybe €6500 tops

Despite the low mileage, was the service intervals kept in time? It could make a difference to how quick it shifts me thinks.

    No need for that.
I asked you what you thought you'd get and you didn't quantify so you can hardly go around disparaging what I threw out

In that case you should make over the 6k mark with no problems I would think. I had an '06 Vectra from new and put up 150k km's in the four years I had it, and it served me well. Its certainly not to everyones taste but they are a solid car.

Is the design model the one with the alloys that are actually wheel trims? Brilliant idea IMO - only the valves give the game away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 374 ✭✭STForSale

Dunno but the alloys are real, and in very good condition I might add :D

Nah, the design has the real deal alloys, 'tis the Club that has the ones you mean although anybody I mentioned it too while I had it thought I was talking the mick.

Good to know that in case I get stuck with it decide to keep it.
It's from up your neck of the woods, LH reg, supplied by McChesney in Monaghan.

I'm actually looking for a motor at the moment and would take it in a heartbeat, only for the fact I'm on the look out for an auto/5 door/not to big/not to small for mrs.delly.
