    Hi

Again I am writing for my friends daughter. She is twenty one years old and is a single mother living at home. She wants to go back to college and is currently completing a Fetac level 5 course.

Is she entitled to a grant ? If so, what grant and do you know how she goes about getting the grant?

    Thanks for your help :)

if you take a look at studentfinance.ie you should be able to work it out from there, the only thing with the grant I think they will take her parents income into account once she lives with them.

If she is on lone parents she could apply for vtos or btea she will keep the same money she gets, plus 500 towards books etc and she would also be entitled to free child care under CETS scheme

    hope this helps
