Sound driver needed

I have a Philips freevents netop LRPC7000 (I think)box hooked up to the tv. Back when it was on windows vista I was able to asign the audio jacks from mic and line in to different outputs to make use of a surround sound system, Now that i have ungraded to windows seven that doesn't appear to be an option. I may try plugging in the cable to the surround anyway to see if it "turns on" the sockets.

I had a look at that Ryan, but because this thing is a Philips branded box there's no way of knowing what the equivalent trigem model would be.

update:

I went and got the audio cable for the surround sound and plugged the three jacks in. It didn't give me any more options in the Playback devices control
