    Hi
My recently aquired scar fails to reset the valve knocker, I find after you cock the rifle I give the trigger a little nudge forward and can hear the knocker reset, it then fires but the odd time shreds the bb, also if you switch to full auto it continues firing after you let go of the trigger!
I've heard that the hop unit should be replaced with the stinger unit and a TSC spring should replace the original hammer spring, but times is tough and need to fix this on the cheap, any ideas guys and/or girls?

Id stay away from TSC replacement parts not the best really RA-TECH are far more reliable, strip down the whole trigger assembly go to RA-TECHS website an theres a photo discription/tutorial of how to replace the valve knocker, there might be something not sitting right in there maybe the spring that pushes the valve knocker (just a guess), alternatively go to gasgun.info it has a forum dedicated to WE GBBR's found a usefull tip that stopped my bb's from being chopped, oddly enough it never happened when i used .25 but if i used .28's of the same brand it was like a bb massacre coming out the end of my barrel and magwell. Hope this in some way helps ya...

Thanks mate I noticed when the bolt carrier travels across the roller bearing in the hammer it's not pushing it far enough down to reset the kicker, the wee notch on the hammer is worn where it comes in contact with the delayer, so as a quick remedy I made up a ring that I press fitted on to the roller bearing and voila it's working fine now!
I've heard by gently polishing the feed port to get rid of the sharp edges reduces the likelihood of bb's being shredded, funny thing though it gets choked up on .28's? But feeds .20's perfectly, range is good but rounds whip wildly left and right as if the hop nub is mounted on the left or right hand side of the hop unit!
I made a wee video on YouTube to show the fix, and a chrono reading, it's way over so I will need an NPAS before I can game with it.
Thanks for the advice matey! Socom
