    Hey Folks,

Please excuse my ignorance when it comes to these things as DIY isn't something I can claim to be good at.

Anywhoo the missus and myself have the above boiler which is acting up. It heats the water just fine but today it's refusing to heat the rads. The flame ignites and the boiler starts up if we select the water but it refuses to ignite the flame when we select heating.

The control unit on the wall is a Sunvic Select xl and the thermostat on the wall is on a high enough setting to kick the boiler into life but nothings happening.
I don't understand why it would heat the water but not te rads. Everything on the control panel seems to work fine but the flame refuses to ignite in the boiler when the heating option is selected.

Can anyone shed some light? If it's something simple that I simply don't know about that'd be great as the boiler was serviced only about 3 months ago.

Hmnn I've just been to the kitchen and pressed the 1HR boost as I had done before. I left the kitchen light off and saw that the indicator light on the control panel came on for just a moment and rather briefly.

Would it be a fair assumption to think that the control panel might be at fault? If so, are they expensive to replace? What's a gas installer likely to charge for a job like that?

Turn your stat to maximum ,until youve sorted the problem.
I would think its something to do with your motorised valve on the heating.

    Thanks yoshytoshy.

Would that be expensive to have serviced/replaced?

If your system is new ,its hard to imagine the valve is gone already. the only type that go that quickly are a blue colour ,they are about 50 euro to buy and easy to fit.
But you need someone to check it out first ,it could be something else.

Thanks for the info. I'd never go near it myself as I'm not qualified to/wouldn't have a clue. Just trying to guage what it'll cost me.
