    if this has been asked before sorry mods

    can i add a second monitor to my computer [dellxps720]
    and does this mean i could also add a keyboard mouse
    basically can 2 people use the one pc??
    if not what could i do by adding a second monitor

    You can of course add a second monitor.
    You could also add a second keyboard/mouse, but they'd both be controlling the same thing.

    There are devices you can get to do what you want; they'll log you in to two different user accounts on the same computer, but they're specific, and expensive(ish), and I can't remember where to find them. I know I saw a review for one once on ComputerTV (Youtube)

    A second monitor gives you more space to work with stuff, basically. You could also game on two monitors, but you'll need a powerful graphics card for that, and it doesn't really work for first-person shooters, are you're aiming at the bezels of the two monitors. :P
